Public Relations Entrepreneur Helps Us Find Peace and Gratitude

Darius Fisher wears many hats as the founder of Status Labs. Indeed, he has to, because his online reputation firm literally has a multitude of millionaire clients that want to make sure their reputation in cyberspace remains solid. Fisher truly goes the extra mile for his clients and he has been profiled in the New York Times,, and many others. He details his early life, the formation of his company, and the keys to his success in a recent interview with Daniel Budzinski.

Darius Fisher is a native New Yorker, and grew up in a family that valued education. Because of that, he graduated with the typical Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree, and he took a public service job in the political realm. It didn’t take him long to realize that there was a huge demand for digital reputation management simply because he was continually getting requests from people to help them with their online reviews. For Fisher, the internet is “reality, even with it’s not,” and that is why he decided to take the huge step of quitting his job and starting Status Labs about four years ago.

The company has experienced tremendous growth since then, but it hasn’t been without any challenges. Fisher said that in the beginning the logistics were a huge hurdle to clear. Another challenge for Fisher would be the fact that he has mostly younger individuals working for him simply because they are more aware of the digital world.

Even though his business is referral-based, he has been successful simply because he has been able to carve a niche for himself. For Fisher, mindfulness is the key. When he sleeps, he puts his phone in airplane mode. Even though he is a workaholic, he is always trying to find the right balance.

For the young entrepreneur, Fisher’s advice is simple: “Think less, and do more.” Fisher believes that people stagnate when they simply talk about ideas but never get anywhere with them. That is why he is a man of action and not just words.
